The Galleria Dallas: Juneteenth Celebration

In celebration of Juneteenth, I was asked to create a t-shirt design for the Galleria Dallas Juneteenth Celebration. When creating the design I wanted to honor my ancestors. Knowing that I am a decedent of enslaved people, knowing that I am a descendent of tragedy, knowing that I am a descendent of people who had to believe in hope when there was no hope, I created this design to honor to them.
